Flowers and Wishes

Hi
I would like to share my final DT piece for the month of February, a card which has the beautiful Serena #2 as the focal. As I mentioned on my personal Blog, Adorn both Serena and Serena #2 are suitable for cards where you are not looking for a vintage style. Although perfect for vintage artwork they can also have a contemporary air to them and as a friend said on my Blog, a Bohemian appearance.
To create a dreamy look I kept to a soft colour palette and included a dried hydrangea blossom with its colour faded and diffused the Wish ticket.
The team hope that you will join us tomorrow over at The Stampsmith Challenge Blog when a new theme will be announced for March and of course there will also be the winner's name for February and the Top 3 artwork on show.
Wishes

Kiss Me You Fool!

I promised you another Valentine card, so here you are! Nothing says romance like this famous on screen couple! Both the main image and the sentiment used on my card come from the Kiss Me You Fool stamp set by The Stampsmith.

I've added a doily to the top left corner and embossed it in ivory. To embellish the card, I added some chocolate pearls and lace add a elegant touch. I distressed the main image, with some tea dye distress ink and although it has a bit of a green look to it in the picture, I assure you they aren't green! lol :)

Thanks for stoppin' by! :)

Hey, Handsome!

Romance is in the air and I've been on a Valentine card making frenzy over the past few days. I think I've paired the fabulous, Marilyn Flying Dress image with a very fitting sentiment. The "Hey, Handsome!" comes from the Show Biz Quotes stamp sheet by The Stampsmith.

Here's a close up of the lovely, Marilyn and the "Hey, Handsome!" sentiment.

Stay tuned, I have more Valentine cards to show you soon!

Thanks for stoppin' by! :)

TSC27: Love and Lace Challenge

I had a lot of fun creating this piece for TSC27: Love and Lace over at The Stampsmith Challenge. I used The Little Conductor stamp by The Stampsmith for my main focal image and added lots of lace from both embossed stamps and real lace.

Here's a close up The Little Conductor. Isn't he just too cute for anything?
This month's challenge is being sponsored by The Cutting Garden. It's one of our local crafty stores and happens to be owned by a great friend of mine. The store has just relocated to a new location and it's fabulous! In celebration of sponsoring the challenge, I'll be teaching a card class at The Cutting Card this month along with three others on the design team! That's right four of us will be there to join in on the fun on Feb. 11th and show you how to make four beautiful cards! Check out their calendar for more information and pics of all the cards we'll be doing that day. If you're from the Metro Halifax area, I hope to see you there! :)

Thanks for stoppin' by! :)
