Gift Wrapped

This particular Flapper is from Flappers#1. Stamping with Crimson Red instead of Black or Sepia ink, brings a sense of festivity and glamour to the image. Other details on my Blog, Adorn.

A Winter Morning

This outsize tag uses "Holly". It is such a lovely stamp to work with and as I have mentioned in previous posts, this stamps beautifully whether in black, sepia or red ink. I have no doubt that "Holly" will crop up again in future posts.
Supplies and other details are on my Blog, Adorn.

Rockin' Lucy Christmas

Hi Everyone,
I finally got some down time to get some cards made. I have been working on Christmas cards. I made 4 cards that are very similar. I used the same stamp from the Lucy Full Sheet available in the Stampsmith Shop, but I changed the colors and DP on each one. This batch of cards will go in the box to send out. Okay, so here they are:

Don't you think they look like they are singing "Rockin' around the Christmas Tree"?? I think they are.

There is more info on my blog and a few more detail photos. Click here to check it out. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving tomorrow.

It's all make believe...

I had some fun tonight playing with this fun image of Marilyn. Ya gotta love her, eh? :) I found the quote online and printed it off to fit inside this 'Fancy Frame.'

Here's a close up of the lovely Marilyn.

Here's a close up of one of her quotes.

Just a reminder that we have a new challenge up over at The Stampsmith Challenge. The current challenge is to make a card or project with 'Gratitude' in mind. I hope you decide to join us in the fun for a chance to build on your Stampsmith collection with a $15.00 gift certificate to the The Stampsmith Shop!

Thanks for stoppin by! :)

You've Got A Friend

The Girlfriends (single umounted) and Friendship Quote by Anais Nin work so well together. A detail photograph of the quote and materials are on my Blog, Adorn.
Girlfriends is a versatile stamp; it could be used on a birthday card to a sister, a Bride To Be could use it for cards to her Bridesmaids, etc.

Thanksgiving Bag and Card

Hi Everyone,
Karen here today. I have a Thanksgiving project for you today. It is a gooodie bag and card. The main image is a Paris scene from Stampsmith's Paris Full Sheet.

The card sits in a vellum pocket on the bag. The bag is a purchased gift bag that I decorated with paper and ribbon. Here is the card by itself.

I stamped the Paris image with a Kaleidacolor ink pad and heat embossed it with UTEE. The image was then sliced into 3 equal pieces and layered. Here is a shot of the inside.

There are more details on my blog. This bag will be filled with baked goods and given to my neighbor, Del for a Thanksgiving treat. Hope you all have a great day!

Lest We Forget

As a proud Canadian, who comes from a long line of military serving family members and who's also married into the military, I pondered long and hard over this remembrance montage. I used the leaves photostamp from The Mountains plate found under Landscapes created by The Stampsmith. My card depicts Canadian soldiers, the famous poppy and the sentiment, Lest We Forget under it.

The most important element in my card, which isn't meant to fade into the background, is a snapshot of a few of the names of the 11,285 Canadian soldiers who died in France and whose remains were never found. The towering, 10-storey, white limestone Vimy Memorial Monument is located at Vimy Ridge, near Arras, France. The striking memorial features a 30-tonne limestone figure carved from a single block, a hooded figure representing Canada herself, gazing down on a single tomb overlooking the Douai plain.

With Remembrance Day coming this November 11th, I hope you will take the time that day, and every day, to remember our fallen soldiers and those who currently serve to protect our country, and the freedoms that we are so fortunate to have.

With Remembrance,

Joy

Another Christmas project, this time a paper cone. The focal image for the cone is "Holly", which is available as a single unmounted. I also made a little tag, stamping "Joy" which is on the Say It With Flair A4 plate.
At my Blog, Adorn, this cone is a Giveaway (I will fill it with little bits 'n' pieces).
